Position Title: Supervising Public Health Nurse

Status: OPEN

Job Description: Responsible for planning, developing and evaluating public health programs which are designed to prevent disease and improve health of individuals, specific populations and communities and supervision of staff within those programs.

Requirements: Thorough knowledge of Public Health Nursing practice, and working knowledge of community health, epidemiology, communicable disease and community service is essential. In addition must demonstrate excellent public speaking ability effective interpersonal communication skills, and ability to problem solve.

Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in nursing from a regionally accredited or NYS registered college or university as well as licensure and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State and NYS Driver’s license and two years experience in public health nursing. Salary starting at $52,000.
